Our Cosy Hut

Our Greenfinch hut is in a secluded setting for a peaceful getaway for up to two people.  It is about 300m from the campsite and offers comfortable accommodation.

The hut is surrounded by woods and meadows in the middle of the Mortimer Forest.

The hut has parking spaces outside.

Dogs are allowed subject to certain conditions.

What to Expect?

The hut has a double bed and small kitchen area which is fully equipped for two people having a small fridge, hot plate and microwave.

A table and chairs are provided for indoor use.

In a separate room is an electric shower and caravan style toilet.

Bedding and towels can be provided.

The Surrounding Area

Monstay Farm is a working farm set within the Mortimer Forest.

The forest offers miles of cycle and walking routes. It also is home to herds of fallow deer which can regularly be spotted grazing on the farm. Many varieties of bird can be seen locally.

The beautiful and historical town of Ludlow with its famous Norman castle is 3 miles from the farm. The town has many Tudor and Georgian houses together with a number of fine pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Outside the Shepherds Hut

Outside of the hut is a fire bowl and cooking stand along with the utensils for the barbeque. There is all of the adventure of cooking over a wood fire. We offer a free bag of logs with each stay.

A gas stove can be provided on request.

We have also provided 2 high quality chairs and a table for dining outdoors where you can view the wildlife on the edge of the forest.
